NONTRADITIONAL ART ON OSTOMY BAGS
As
a part of increasing public awareness about the life of people with an
ostomy, we invented a project called the BagART- painting on ostomists bags.We want
people to know how ostomy sack looks and that they don't have to fear to touch
it or talk about it.

- Show how an ostomy bag looks
- Show that life doesn't end with an ostomy and you can normally live with it
Why BagART?
An ostomy bag is something that is part of us, but our surroundings don't have an idea sometimes. They don't know that we have to deal with things like if it fits well, if it doesn't leak, if it can't be smelly, or seen under our clothes. A lot of people see the ostomy as a stigma. Not only the public but also the ostomists too. But an ostomy is nothing to be ashamed of, because it can save lives. In order to bring our lives closer to people who know nothing about the topic, we decided to create a work of art from our everyday aid.
Exhibition BagART
The exhibition is absolutely unique. It shows life with an ostomy from point of view that no one has ever seen.
Join us and help us increase public awareness of an ostomy!
You can't draw? It's okay, you can write a message on the ostomy bag or stick pictures on it. It depends on your creativity and your fantasy is endless!
Together we will:
- increase public awareness of an ostomy
- show how an ostomy bag looks
- show that life doesn't end with an ostomy and you can normally live with it
- destroy the myths about an ostomy
